Service Leadership Programs
Developing the next generation of leaders in our community
The Smithtown-Saint James Kiwanis Club is proud to sponsor Service Leadership Programs (SLPs) right here in our community. These student-led clubs give young people the opportunity to serve others, build character, and develop leadership skills — from elementary school through high school.
K-Kids
St. James Elementary School
K-Kids is a student-led service organization for elementary school students. Members improve their schools and communities through service projects while developing leadership skills and strong character. Amazing things happen when students learn, engage, serve, and lead.
Our K-Kids club meets at St. James Elementary School twice a month at 6:45 PM and is advised by club president Al Lindsey.

Key Club
Key Club International is the oldest and largest service program for high school students, operating in 45 countries worldwide. Members perform community service while developing leadership skills by running meetings, planning projects, and holding elected positions.
We are currently working to establish Key Clubs at both Smithtown High School East and Smithtown High School West. Stay tuned for updates as we bring this program to our local high schools!
Circle K International
Stony Brook University
Circle K International is the premier collegiate service organization, and the university-level branch of the Kiwanis family. Members engage in service, leadership development, and fellowship while making a positive impact on their campus and community.
Our Kiwanis family extends to Stony Brook University, where the Circle K chapter continues the tradition of service into the college years.
